Proseguono le notizie legate a Ghost in the Shell, l'opera creata da Shirow Masamune. Infatti è in lavorazione il live action hollywoodiano (è di pochi giorni fa la notizia secondo cui Scarlett Johansson avrebbe accettato il ruolo di protagonista), ed oggi è stata resa nota la prima key visual ed il primo trailer del nuovo film anime prodotto per celebrare i 25 anni di Ghost in the Shell. 

Lo staff sarà il seguente: 

- Supervisore e character designer: Kazuchika Kise (Ghost in the Shell: Arise)
- Regista: Kazuya Nomura (Robotics;Notes)
- Sceneggiatura: Tow Ubukata (Ghost in the Shell: Arise, Mardock Scramble)
- Direttore capo dell'animazione: Tooru Ookubo (Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex)
- Compositore musicale Cornelius (Ghost in the Shell: Arise, Appleseed: Ex Machina)
- Studio di animazione: Production I.G. (Psycho-Pass) 

Il film uscirà nelle sale giapponesi durante quest'estate, e nell'ultima Lucca Comics Dynit ha annunciato che il film arriverà anche qui in Italia, sia per l'home video che come evento al cinema.
